It appears to be a tight race for the mayor’s seat in Oak Bay in the upcoming municipal election, according to a poll on the Oak Bay News website last week.
Of the 621 votes that were cast, 49.92 per cent were for current counsellor Kevin Murdoch and 50.08 per cent were for incumbent Nils Jensen.

An all-candidates meeting will be held on Oct. 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Dave Dunnet Community Theatre, Oak Bay High School, sponsored by the Community Association of Oak Bay.
The province heads for general municipal election Saturday, Oct. 20. In Oak Bay, residents will elect a mayor and six councillors.
