The big fundraising event features rooms filled with art, jewellery, books, CDs, records, toys, fabrics, linens, garden supplies, and a dedicated Christmas booth.

Proceeds go to the Monterey Recreation Activity Association to support its membership through sponsored activities and support for the 30 clubs based at the centre.

Donations can be dropped off between 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Volunteers will spend Friday setting up the event.

While most items are accepted, volunteers can’t accept clothing, baking goods, sports equipment, computers, TVs, or large furniture.

The 41st annual Oak Leaves Bazaar will be held at the Monterey Recreation Centre from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
