Bays U18s finish fourth at BCs

The Bays United U18 boys finished fourth during provincial competition in Surrey

The Bays United U18 boys finished fourth during provincial competition in Surrey earlier this month.

“Fourth in the province is still an accomplishment for the boys,” said coach Daniel Kilpatrick. “We had a win and a couple heartbreaking losses but enjoyed the time as a team, which in the long term I think is what the boys will look back and reflect on as they get older.”

The U18 Bays finished sixth in regular season play in the Vancouver Island Premier League then scratched their way to the top to earn the Island title and a shot at provincials.

Of the 16 players, only four return to youth soccer next year.
