Lodge should go up

This means that many can go to work on foot, by bicycle or bus rather than using their polluting cars.

I would note that Vancouver has wisely decided to go up rather than sprawl over valuable farm land or virgin forest.

This means that many can go to work on foot, by bicycle or bus rather than using their polluting cars. Well we can learn from them.

The Oak Bay Lodge should go up to acommodate the increasing demand for the kind of services it will provide. I think that there is an element of NIMBYism in both Michael Wilmot’s comments and those of the group that illustrates its concerns by a display of a flying balloon.

The only victims, if any, are those people currently in the Lodge who will be temporarily displaced while the new lodge is under constuction. I visit a very frail resident and worry about how she will survive the disruption.

Our new mayor is determined to make Oak Bay the most environmentally friendly municipality on the continent and we should be grateful for that commitment.
