Letter: Oak Bay compost study a poor financial decision

A broader survey would yield more informative data

Once again council has approved a costly study when they could have gathered the same information for less.

I agree that when the compost collection contract comes up, options should be explored, but spending $35,000 for 50 households to have their own compost bin for one year ($700/household by the way) is garbage (compost?).

Why not send a survey to 200 households instead?  You’d get a wider variety of opinions for a fraction of the cost.

Why are they wasting our money in this manner?
