Stop drinking the Kool-Aid! The climate change crisis appears to be unraveling.
I’m old enough to remember the propaganda of the 1970s, which warned of an impending ice age according to “science.” Today’s global warming propaganda seems to be just that - propaganda with the purpose of instilling fear to gain more control.
CO2e makes up only 0.04 per cent or 412 parts per million of the Earth’s atmosphere, equivalent to $400 out of $1 million; in other words, a minuscule fraction.
Canada’s share of global emissions decreased from 1.8 per cent of the total in 2005 to 1.5 per cent in 2020. In contrast, China accounts for 31 per cent of global emissions, showing an 18.2 per cent increase between 2005 and 2020. Additionally, they generated 14 per cent more electricity from coal between 2022 and 2023.
In January 2023, the Globe and Mail reported that China has 300 new coal-fired power plants in various stages of construction or awaiting permit approval.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to conclude that despite Canada’s government investing billions of dollars in promoting its green energy “reset” plans and taxing its citizens into poverty, it may have little impact on the Earth’s atmosphere.
The truth is, if CO2 levels drop to 0.02 per cent, plants begin to die. Without plants that absorb CO2 and produce oxygen, we would face dire consequences. How foolish can we be and still expect to breathe?
