Victoria man sentenced in Oak Bay thefts

A 26-year-old Victoria man has been sentenced to four months in jail

A 26-year-old Victoria man has been sentenced to four months in jail after being convicted of a series of break and enters to Oak Bay businesses.

Daniel Long admitted to breaking into the Story Studio in the 2200-block of Cadboro Bay Rd. on Jan. 28 and taking an iMac computer, he also admitted to breaking into Leonard’s Drycleaning in the 2500-block of Cadboro Bay Rd. and the Latte One Coffee shop in the 2000-block of Cadboro Bay Rd., both on Jan. 29 and taking a small amount of cash.

The Oak Bay police detective section investigated the crimes and subsequently arrested Long, who later confessed. He appeared in Victoria court last week.
