Oak Bay council approved a “very acceptable” increase to property tax rates for 2011.
The judgment came from Mayor Christopher Causton, who wasn’t around to approve this year’s rates, having been running for federal office.
The increase is 3.74 per cent over last year for the municipal portion.
In addition, the business to residential tax ratio is about 1.77 to 1.
