Saanich police want to identify a man who stole money from a gas station cash register.

Saanich police want to identify a man who stole money from a gas station cash register.

Just after 9:30 p.m. on Monday, police say a man walked into the Shell service station on Saanich Road and Douglas Street. He didn’t produce a weapon or use any force, however he demanded cash from the lone employee working.

The man reached over the counter to the cash register, grabbed a handful of money and fled.

The man is described as Caucasian and approximately 28 years old. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses during the incident.
