Police make fluke drug bust

Timely stop of unrelated individuals

Oak Bay police nabbed a man for drugs while chatting with him about an unrelated case.

The officers were helping Victoria police on a robbery call in Victoria at 1 a.m. on Sunday (June 19) when they stopped a man and woman on Adanac Street to ask about the robbery.

The couple weren’t involved in the initial call, but officers found crystal meth, cocaine and a knife on the man.
