Margate home added to heritage registry

Oak Bay Heritage Register includes 1912 house on Margate Avenue

The Oak Bay Heritage Register now includes a 1912 house on Margate Avenue.

The Oak Bay Heritage Commission describes the home as a good example of the Craftsman Bungalow style which was popular at the time.

The home enjoys a continuation of the streetscape provided by the adjacent Native Plant Garden.

The Oak Bay Community Heritage Register is an official list of buildings and sites deemed of heritage value or character.

Inclusion of a property on the Heritage Register is voluntary and doesn’t offer heritage protection or formal designation. Find the full registry at oakbay.ca.
