A 65-year-old man was arrested in late March after Victoria police say officers saw him expose himself to a 12-year-old girl on a transit bus.

Timothy Bush has been charged with one count of committing an indecent act and one count of exposing genitalia to a minor. He remains in police custody as he awaits his next court appearance.

Victoria police said Thursday (April 4) that officers began an surveillance project on March 27 after they received information about a suspect who was committing indecent acts while riding transit buses.

Plain-clothed officers boarded a BC Transit bus and watched the suspect commit the indecent act while seated next to a 12-year-old girl, VicPD said in a news release. Bush was arrested as he tried to exit the bus.

Anyone who has been or knows someone who has been a victim of an indecent act is asked to called VicPD at 250-995-7654.
