Suspect arrested after Sooke stabbings

Two men sent to hospital with serious injuries

Police are investigating after two men were stabbed in Sooke.

Sooke RCMP responded to a report of stabbings just after 6 p.m. on Saturday (Sept. 16) in the 6600-block of Sooke Road.

Police initiated first aid on the victims until an ambulance arrived. The victims were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Sooke RCMP said an investigation indicated that an altercation started between a group of people which led to the stabbings and that this appears to be an isolated incident.

A 21-year-old male suspect was located nearby and was arrested.
