Photographer Britt Swoveland says the recent oil spill disaster off the coast of California is a good reminder of how much we have to lose (and protect) along our own pristine Oak Bay coastline. Seal pups are born (typically) between mid-May and early July. Look for them at Oak Bay’s shorelines where you will see them playing alongside their moms and curled up on their mom’s backs.
