20th Anniversary Recycling Day to benefit transitional housing in Oak Bay

Get rid of your recycling and give back to the community at the 20th anniversary of Recycling Days at St. Matthias Church in Oak Bay.

On the fourth Saturday of every month, since it began in 1998, the parking lot of St. Matthias Church becomes a recycling depot from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Since 2015 the proceeds from the Recycling Day go to support the life-skills program at Threshold Housing Society.

Threshold Housing Society provides transitional housing and life-skills to vulnerable and marginalized youth in our community.

The Recycle Days accept refundable bottles, cans, clean plastics, and electronics.

The next Recycle Day is Saturday, Sept. 22.
