The Monterey Recreation Centre hosted a traditional Scottish feast to celebrate the memory of the Bard of Ayrshir, Robbie Burns. The evening began with the piping in of the haggis followed by the Address to a Haggis. After the meal which included tatties and neaps, Scottish dances were performed by Kathleen Laurie School of Highland Dance and the Vancouver Island Scottish Country Dancers Society. Ian Rothnie and accordionist Mary Ross entertained with a medley of songs of Scotland, then everyone joined in a rendition of Auld Lang Syne to finish the evening.
