Oak Bay High students help to send children with cancer to Camp Good Times

Bottle drive is part of the Cops for Cancer, Tour de Rock campaign

The parking lot of Oak Bay High fills with good times as students hold a bottle drive to raise funds for Cops for Cancer, Tour de Rock campaign, to send children with cancer to Camp Good Times.

As part of their annual fundraising efforts, students are holding the bottle drive in the Oak Bay High parking lot from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Sept. 22.

Every year the students await the Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock team to drop by near the end of the 1,000-kilometre cycle of the Island before revealing their funds raised. In 2017 the campaign raised $90, 034 for the cause through fundraisers including car washes, bottle drives and a lunch break filled with head shaves, leg waxing and pies in the face.
