Embrace the night with a spring full moon Monday.

This month’s one-hour walk, an initiative of the Community Association of Oak Bay, starts at the Salish Sea sculpture at the south side of the Oak Bay Marina parking lot. Walkers will move south along Beach Drive with stops at the Oak Bay Native Plant Garden and one of the most beautiful full moon viewing points, Anderson Hill Park.

April’s full moon, officially the wee hours of April 11 this year, is known as the Pink Moon, named for pink flowers called wild ground phlox, which bloom in early spring.

The age and family-friendly walk is on, rain or shine, so dress accordingly. It starts at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 10.
