Grads will be ready for close-ups

For the fourth year in a row, Oak Bay High grads will glam it up at a red carpet block party.

Before the 300-plus grads head to a dinner and dance May 20, parents and family members will get to see them in formal attire at a street party. Organizers were given permission from council last week to close off Lincoln Road between Camas Lane and Dorset Road from 2 to 6:30 p.m. for the gathering.

The street party has been located in a different neighbourhood each year since its inception. Buses will pick up the grads afterward and take them to the gala, hosted this year at the Inn at Laurel Point.
