Four companies won the competitively contested awards. The Chamber of Commerce’s Employer of the Year, Bayshore Home Health, which serves 350,000 clients, won Health Care Business of the Year.

McTavish Academy of Art won the coveted Entrepreneur Award, and cutting-edge medical tech company Trich Analytics won in Technology. The other Saanich Peninsula winner was Urban Bee Honey Farm in the Food Production category.

Dr Jennie Christensen of Trich Analytics was pleased to have won. “It’s challenging to take a leap of faith to start your own company, its a tough journey but the awards really help make it worthwhile. It’s another notch that I’m doing the right thing and people believe in me. I’m really proud.”
