Oak Bay Lawn Bowling Club duo claims Scotch pairs victory

Oak Bay’s Joan Firkins and Donna Blackstock score win June 28 and 29.

Oak Bay’s Joan Firkins and Donna Blackstock bowled to victory in the Oak Bay Lawn Bowling Club’s Women’s Silver Tray Scotch Pairs June 28 and 29.

Ann Van Basterlaere and Katelyn Brierely, from Sidney, placed second in the A division.

Coming first in the B Division was the team of Sue Ennis and Jill Lightbody, from Lakehill Lawn Bowling Club, while Oak Bay’s Sandy Coupe and Pat Thomas placed second.

In the C Division, Ann Mathie and Wendy Lubinich, from Juan de Fuca Lawn Bowling Club, finished first, while Ann Bodley-Scott and Mary Howarth, from Gordon Head Lawn Bowling Club, placed second.
