Oak Bay gymnast lands provincial silver

Ava Stewart earned a silver medal on bars and eighth place all around in the Junior Olympic Level 6 (2004)

Ava Stewart earned a silver medal at the Artistic Gymnastics B.C. Championships.

Oak Bay’s Ava Stewert landed a silver medal in provincials.

Stewart was among 15 young athletes from Falcon Gymnastics who travelled to North Vancouver to compete in the 2015 Artistic Gymnastics B.C. Championships.

Stewart earned a silver medal on bars and eighth place all around in the Junior Olympic Level 6 (2004). Teammate Karley Telford earned bronze on bars and beam and a bronze medal overall in the same level.

More than 500 athletes from across British Columbia competed to earn a spot on Team B.C. and represent the province at the Canadian Gymnastics Championships in May.

Greater Victoria Falcon gymnasts rose to the occasion, earning 17 medals and 22 top-10 ribbon placements marking the most successful B.C. Championship in the history of Falcon Gymnastics.

Falcon gymnasts will finish the competition season with the 33rd annual Garden City Invitational May 16 and 17 at Panorama Recreation Centre in North Saanich.
