The Midget Tier 1 Braves edged past Nanaimo 4-2 Saturday (Feb. 11) in the final game of the first round of Midget Tier 1 hockey playoffs.
The Braves, featuring players from Oak Bay, Saanich, Victoria and Esquimalt, now face Comox Tier 1 in a best-of-three Island Championship. The winner earns a berth to provincials this March in Prince George.
