Writer gets facts wrong

Vocal, special-interest groups similar to Oak Bay Watch exist in many municipalities

Letter writer David Wilkinson has it wrong.  Vocal, special-interest groups similar to Oak Bay Watch exist in many municipalities.  Examples include Saanich Council Watchdogs and  Deer Safe Victoria.

Mr. Wilkinson failed to research and acknowledge residents of Oak Bay successfully elected Coun. Eric Zhelka,  co-founder of Oak Bay Watch and an individual who has contributed significantly to their interests for several years. Opinions are only valid while based on fact.
