Thanks for helping the homeless

Several bins and bags full with jackets, socks, mitts, scarves, toques and other winter essentials were delivered to Our Place.

A note of thanks to those Oak Bay residents that dropped off winter essentials at the Oak Bay municipal hall last week in support of Project Connect, put on by the Greater Victoria Coalition to End Homelessness.

Several bins and bags full with jackets, socks, mitts, scarves, toques and other winter essentials were delivered to Our Place.

Thank you also to the Oak Bay News for their coverage of the initiative and to Oak Bay CAO, Helen Koning for willingly hosting the donation location.

All the donated items will go to people experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty in the Greater Victoria Region.

With sincere appreciation,

Britt Swoveland
