Many Oak Bay taxpayers, including myself, are retired and living on fixed incomes. At a time when my life savings are earning very low interest rates, how dare the mayor expect me to pay five per cent more tax.
Any raise of taxes greater than inflation is unacceptable, particularly to pensioners living on fixed incomes.
