Some don’t like the first whiff of ArtsAlive 2017

Estevan village art under fire

I didn’t think I had allergies, but on second sniff …

My status as a proud resident of Oak Bay has been diminished by a dollar store sculpture (if it is worth that much).

Currently, Estevan village is populated with Spinning Spoons being observed by an Aluminum Frog by the ocean, Mating Wooden Beatles outside a popular bakery and now a Huge Pink Nose sporting sunglasses situated right in the middle of the village. I’m sure that The Purple Veined Chicken Claw is next.

Yes, this nose by sculptor Ron Simmer is producing a laugh from many Oak Bay residents, but we’re keeping the giggles to ourselves.

With so many talented artists in Victoria looking for spaces to showcase outstanding, attractive and meaningful art, perhaps it’s time to go and visit your munoseipality! ( I couldn’t resist) because something stinks in Oak Bay.
