In BC Hydro’s representative’s response to attacks on smart meters (Letters Feb. 22) he states various provincial, national and worldwide agencies all confirm the wireless meters pose no known health risks.
The interesting word in that statement is “known.” What about unknown?
He goes on to say customers will benefit from automatic outage detection. Seems to me if my lights go out I’ll know there is a power failure and am certain systems to advise Hydro of that condition have been in place for years.
I do not think Hydro has to wait for a call from a homeowner saying their power is out.
