Re: Underage drinking in OBPD’s sights (News, June 17)
The Oak Bay Police Department plans to target underage drinking, which according to your news story is a ticketable offence.
In the same story it says the police were called to three out-of-control parties, but no tickets were issued. So what was the point of that exercise?
The OBPD would better serve the community if they started ticketing speeders and other moving violations which are rampant in so many areas of Oak Bay. Maybe with the new chief the department will finally get some teeth.
