Oak Bay museum needed

Turn Hampshire house into a community museum

Re: Hampshire lot use a hot topic (News, Sept. 7). What is the best use for this piece of property? One of the best uses I can think of is turning this house into a community museum.

Oak Bay has so much history: First Nations, the HBC presence, stories of Todd house, our participation in the World Wars, the agricultural history of Oak Bay and more.

Add pictures from the B.C. Archives, archaeological evidence from a few of Grant Keddie’s local finds and we have a community museum.

A community museum would be a valuable asset to locals, tourists and school groups alike. I think this is best use for this piece of property.
