Yet there seems to be little reflection on our already stressed water supply. This morning media again reports zero millimetres of precipitation, the reservoir level at 65.7 per cent and about half the precipitation usually expected by this time of year. Last year, the Sooke reservoir finally filled some months later than usual.

As climate change evolves, our recent drought conditions may prevail as the expected norm. Is this reality being reflected on the ever-increasing demands for our precious water by a government hell-bent on population growth? Somehow I think not.
