With reference to the covert removal of the Sir John A. MacDonald statue, It’s really quite shocking and frightening that Mayor Lisa Helps has decided she and her hand-picked committee can and will “just do it” and deal with the expected opposition after the fact.
A fundamental role of the mayor of any city is to receive input from constituents. It is absolutely inappropriate that Ms. Helps and “family” choose to do otherwise when they want what they want. Mayor Lisa Helps did you forget who you work for?
