Letter: School uniforms the answer if district can’t decide on a dress code

Decisions, decisions.

How difficult is to decide and stick with a proper dress code for students. I went to school in the ’70s and although we did not have uniforms there was no problem determining how students should dress. Now the excuse is diversity and each culture wants its own clothing style.

Hogwash.

Do you believe that the administrators at Glenlyon Norfolk School or St. Michaels University School are worried about dress codes? Hardly as they have uniforms, diversity or not. It might be a lot easier if school uniforms were mandatory at all schools which would alleviate the problem. And also save the parents plenty of money by not having to buy the latest fashion fad. School administrators should spend more time on school issues than worry about dress codes.
