So let me get this straight. The province and Oak Bay council have cooked up a $40,000 scheme that involves catching,sedating, collaring and tagging, then releasing, and filming 20 deer; so that at some unknown future date they may or maynot catch, sedate and then release the same 20 deer after giving them birth control drugs.
In the meantime, we will have some great, if expensive photographs of a deer population increasing at the potential rate offour fawns per doe per year.
I just hope someone saves all the film for the mockumentary that is sure to follow.
