LETTER: Greater Victoria councils must chip in on culture

Send your letters to editor@vicnews.com

The mandate of the Royal & McPherson Theatres Society is to “enrich the cultural life of the region, by operating and maintaining the civic theatres of the CRD.”

But its outrageous doubling of the rent is going to strangle culture in this community.

It is time to demand an accounting from the board and to insist that all the municipal councils chip in to make sure we have access to affordable dance, opera and music.
