I have just read Peter McNab’s letter published in the Nov. 22 edition of the Oak Bay News.

If Mr. McNab wishes to rub elbows with more people, why doesn’t he just head downtown for his stroll?

He is choosing a very residential amble. I love to walk in the same area for the peace and solitude, the beautiful homes and gardens, and the old trees. I love it just the way it is.

In Victoria we have so many concerts, plays, free summer events in many parks, sports activities, recreation centres, clubs and classes, that the biggest challenge is which one to attend, most with lots of people to rub elbows with.

We have a very vibrant city, and I believe there should be something for everyone, including safe, quiet neighbourhoods.
