I have just read David Wilkinson’s letter (Flood was no disaster, Nov. 28) regarding the flooding of Bowker Street.
I am dismayed at his lack of empathy regarding the disaster. Three children lost treasures and memories. No, they didn’t lose their lives, but their lives are changed forever.
I am sure it will make them stronger, because they are three amazing, resilient children.
I wonder if Mr. Wilkinson has children? My family is overwhelmed at the response and good wishes that came their way when this catasrophe happened, and I just wish Mr. Wilkinson had wandered over to Bowker Street after the flood as we all tried to save a few things.
