Victoria Police seek information on two sexual assaults

Two separate incidents within 10 days may be connected, VicPD say

The Victoria Police Department is asking the public for help in relation to two sexual assaults that may be connected.

On Dec. 4 at 9:15 p.m., police were called to the area near Burnside Road and Carrol Street after a woman got off a bus and an unknown man ran up behind her, slapped her buttocks and fled.

The man was described as Caucasian, five feet, six inches tall with a slim build. He was wearing a beige knitted cap with stripes, a dark top and dark pants.

On Dec. 13 at 6 p.m., police were called to the Galloping Goose Trail near Gorge Road East when a woman reported a man had grabbed her. The woman yelled at the man who ran away.

The man was described as five feet, four inches tall with a slim build wearing a black hoody with the hood up.

Neither victim was hurt.
