UPDATE: VicPD arrest suspect in drive-by shooting

VicPD arrested a man wanted for attempted murder in relation to Monday morning’s drive-by shooting in the 900-block of Douglas St.

Someone recognized Dennis Grant Fletcher, 23, in the 3000-block of Douglas St. around 1 a.m. Thursday morning and called 911.

Police descended on the area and arrested Fletcher without incident. He now faces charges of attempted murder, uttering threats, discharging a firearm with intent to wound and careless use of a firearm.

Whitney Rae Furber in also in custody facing attempted murder charges.

VicPD thanked the public for their vigilance in locating Fletcher.
