Red light not enough to stop young driver

A 76-year-old driver crashed into the side of a car at Lansdowne and Foul Bay roads when the 21-year-old driver of the latter vehicle ran a red light at 9:15 p.m. Friday.

There were no injuries, but Oak Bay police gave the young woman a breathalyzer test. She registered under 0.05 per cent blood-alcohol, but wound up with a $167 fine for failing to stop at the red light.
