Post-party rowdiness a problem

Partying teens were blamed by police for various mischief done in Oak Bay last Friday night (March 25).

Before sunrise on Saturday, mailboxes were knocked over, picnic tables in Carnarvon Park were overturned and a car’s roof was stomped on.

Oak Bay police officers confronted a group of teens on Cadboro Bay Road, but weren’t able to confirm who was responsible.

The types of damage caused were “goofy, ridiculous things. It was just kind of a nuisance,” Deputy Chief Kent Thom said.
