Possible cougar sighting near Saanich Commonwealth Place

Police were called about the sighting, which occurred around 10:30 a.m. in the 4600-block of Pipeline Rd. The animal was described as “dark coloured” and “larger than an average-sized cat.”

An animal with a “cougar-like tail” was spotted Sunday morning in a wooded area behind Saanich Commonwealth Place.
