Oak Bay Marina hit by thieves

Someone used tools to detach a pair of downriggers from a boat moored at Oak Bay Marina sometime between April 29 and May 2. The Scotty Deep Depthpower 30 model downriggers, worth about $1,200, were fully attached to the boat when its owner left the marina Friday evening, but were gone Monday morning.

Overnight on May 3, a Garmin GPS was stolen from another boat and a Standard Horizon radio taken from a third. Police have no suspects.
