Oak Bay High project clears next hurdle

The Greater Victoria School District announced that three design-build teams have been shortlisted

The Oak Bay High School replacement project moved a wee bit closer to completion last week.

The Greater Victoria School District announced that three design-build teams had been shortlisted and will advance to the next step in the contracting process.

The teams, Bouygues Building Canada Inc., Farmer Construction Ltd. and Yellowridge Design Build Ltd., edged out three other bids to move to the Request for Proposal phase of the project. At the end of that process one consortium will be selected on the basis of which will offer the greatest value and benefit for the capital funds allotted for the school replacement.

An announcement on the final selection of a design-build team is expected in the spring of 2013 with construction slated to start next summer.
