Man in his 60s dies in ATV accident north of Parksville

BC Coroners Service investigating the death

A man in his 60s has died following an all-terrain vehicle accident on forest service roads near Cook Creek, about 30 kilometres north of Parksville.

The Oceanside RCMP responded to the accident on Dec. 3.

Cpl. Jesse Foreman said the incident was non-suspicious or criminal in nature and therefore the BC Coroners Service has taken over investigation.

The coroners service confirmed an investigating into the death but no other information is available at this time.

Foreman said the area where the accident occurred is not somewhere they have encountered any other problems.
