Oak Bay Police were called after a truck owner owner watched someone smash the windows in his vehicle May 27. The male, dressed all in black, wearing a full face motorcycle helmet, walked up to the truck and head butted the front driver and passenger windows.

The suspect was last seen southbound on Hampshire.

Vehicle versus cyclist at Ripon Road

police were called to the intersection of Beach Drive and Ripon Road May 27, for an injury collision between a motor vehicle and a cyclist. The cyclist was southbound on Beach Drive when the pickup truck crossed Ripon Rd westbound. The driver noticed the cyclist at the last second and stopped, however the cyclist was not able to stop and hit with the side of the vehicle. The cyclist required medical attention. The matter is still under investigation.

Uplands break and enter

Residents returned home after a few days away to find a quantity of valuables stolen from their home on May 22. Oak Bay Police and Forensic Identification Services attended the Uplands residence.

Lost boy found on beach

A 30-minute search ended in success after a boy was reported lost at Willows Park May 27.

The boy was missing from the playground area for approximately 30 minutes but was found a short distance away on the beach.
