Oak Bay council is drafting a response to the Capital Regional District’s proposed sustainability policy.
Last month CRD staff presented the strategy, which includes policies to deal with such topics as climate change, social well-being, affordable housing and food security.
Councillors discussed Oak Bay’s three-page response, drafted by chief administrator Mark Brennan, and opted to delete references to secondary suites. The reply will likely be approved soon by council and sent off to the CRD.
