High-end bicycles lost and found

Oak Bay police have also recovered a brand new high-end mountain bike

Two pricey bikes were stolen on the same day, Friday, April 6.

The lock on a 21-speed GT Pantera mountain bike was cut in order to steal it from Oak Bay High. The culprit left behind the cut lock and helmet at the scene.

The second, an unlocked Giant TCR2002 racer, was stolen from a backyard in the 2000-block of Fredrick Norris Rd. The racer style bicycle is yellow and black with orange hand grips.

Sgt. Ian Craib said Oak Bay police have also recovered a brand new high-end mountain bike from behind some bushes, but have not been able to track down the owner.

Call Craib at Oak Bay police (250-592-2424) if you think it might be yours and if you can identify the bike.
