Consultation planned for marine conservation area

Community consultation on the proposed National Marine Conservation Area will be held on April 10.

Parks Canada director of marine planning Nick Irving and acting park superintendent Todd Shannon will be the keynote speakers.

The event is hosted by the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the Royal Victoria Yacht Club and Parks Canada.

The meeting will run from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Royal Victoria Yacht Club at 3475 Ripin Rd.

The event is free, but guests are asked to register at victoriachamber.ca to ensure there is space available.
