UPDATE: $1M lottery prize goes unclaimed in Victoria

UPDATE: Deadline for winning lottery ticket passes without prize being claimed

How would you like $1 million?

The holder of one lucky winning ticket purchased in Victoria exactly one year ago today had until 4:30 p.m. to claim their prize.

That meant the winner had just a few hours left this morning to come forward to see if they’re B.C.’s newest millionaire.

But no one came forward to claim the $1 million prize.

The ticket — with the numbers 18923844-07 — was sold in Victoria on Jan. 3, 2018 and the winner had a full year to claim their winnings.

BCLC confirmed Thursday evening that no one came forward to claim the prize. If the prize had found its way to the rightful owner, their information would have been announced by BCLC.
